CURRENT COMIC

I still live

Hey kids. Been a while. I apologize to those of you who are still checking in and not finding updates and I really do appreciate the commitment.

I haven’t updated in a while because I’m not sure where I’m going from here. The best part of the comic has always been when I post a new page and get to read your comments. But everything leading up to that has increasingly become more and more of a chore. That’s no good. I’ve been trying to find a way to make the whole process fun and whether that’s a new approach or a new project all together, I don’t know.

I’d like to finish this chapter, but I make no guarantees. I played with the idea of making a game, but that’s not looking too feasible at this point. Odds are, I’ll start a new comic, same world, same characters, but a few years down the road from the current timeline and with a more focused plot.

We shall see.

Several cool things

It’s rare that this pessimistic old heart gives a flip about a movie trailer these days, but this 9 looks like Incredibles-level special. My thanks to SleepyMagus for sharing this in the forum:

And some other stuff:

I’m probably the last person on the world wide internet to discover this, but just in case you missed it too, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is one of the good ‘uns.

On of the many things I admire about Avatar the Last Airbender, aside from some the best animation and fight choreography I’ll ever see, is the completeness of the series. It’s rare to get a satisfying ending from a TV show, especially the animated ones. That being said, who couldn’t use a little more?

Whether this be retarded or not, isn’t it about 5 years behind the curve?

Happy New Year!

A few days late but life goes on. I’m going to try a bulk update so shit may be dead for a little while… if the DTs come in too heavy, turn to Ned for a fix.

Interview with ComixTalk

I did an interview with comixtalk.com a little while back. A few of you might find it interesting.

ALSO: Don’t forget to check out the hot crossover action at Ned the Chainsaw Guy.

Page 104 - Ugly Little

It is up in full color glory.

I had the Sci-fi channel on while I colored this page. They were airing some kind of crappy dragon movie mini-marathon. It started with Dragon Wars or something like that. Not worth looking up the title. Next was Dungeons and Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God. It was actually OK. Last was Dragon Sword. Seriously. It’s still on right now and it’s actually not that bad either. It has a bizarrely well known cast - Patrick Swayze, Michael Clark Duncan, Val Kilmer. The star is the somewhat lesser known James Purefoy. He was awesome as Marc Antony in HBO’s Rome and I’ll probably watch the rest of the movie due to his inclusion.

Speaking of Rome, Titus Pullo (Ray Stevenson) is playing the new Punisher. AND McNulty (Dominic West) from the Wire plays the villain, Jigsaw. Too bad the movie looks like ass.
