Bleach

It looks like Bleach is coming to Adult Swim. That's a good thing. I've only seen two episodes of the anime but I'm a fan of the manga. It starts Saturday, Sept. 9th, so I probably won't watch it until it gets shifted to the weekly 1:00 am slot. That's a while off, but I'm looking forward to it.

New comic. Reading is fundamental.

Metalocolypse (sp!)

I'm liking Metalocolypse so far. Of course, I've only seen three episodes, but I fucking bleed metal, dude. I just wish I could tell what the fuck the characters were saying most the time.

I'm a fan of the direction Adult Swim has taken recently. Original ideas and decent artwork (Metalocolypse, Morel Oral, Minoriteam) have replaced the "wacky" not-really-that-funny humor and shitty-retard scribble drawings (12 Ounce Mouse, Squidbillies) of a few months ago. That's really ripper.

For the record: Not a huge Minoriteam fan. Lines from 12 Ounce get stuck in my head and result in a chuckle a few days later. The voice-acting in Squidbillies is awesome, but hey, if you're gonna keep running that shiz, let's get more then three episodes RIGHT???

New comic. I'll be in Chicago this weekend. So if you're in the area and you notice a spiky-haired lankman who is handsomer than can, tell him you like his doodles.

The super weapon falls out of McFly's pocket and into the ravine. The robos can't cross the ravine due to the anti-robo barrier (duh!). They can't follow McFly, but McFly can't get to the weapon. A couple Blue Circle (that's a country...some other countries: Red Square, Green Triangle and Yellow Star) soldiers show up, so McFly decides to cut his losses and get the frick out of dodge.

iron reaver soul stealer

I have mixed feelings about Inuyasha. I never go out of my way to watch it. In my head, it's kind of lame. The story never seems to go anywhere and the romantic "tension" is kind of fruity. But if the show is on and I happen to catch it, I usually enjoy it. The action is usually pretty good and I actually Laugh Out Loud at some of the character interactions. Most of the cast is useless unless they're killing jobber demons but Inuyasha and Sesshomaru(sp!) are pretty kewl doods.

On that note, the Inuyasha movie that was on the other night, Sword of a Something Ruler, was one of the best anime series movies I've seen. The plot broke down a little something like this:

Cool intro scene with Inuyasha's daddy

About 10 minutes or so of standard Inuyasha gayness

Action scene

Action scene

Action scene

Action scene

I may have left out an action scene somewhere. In other words I liked it.

New comic. Feel free to leave a critique on my sterling new SHOUTBOX!

Battle!

I engaged in webcomic combat the other day and was thoroughly smoked. I submitted one of my favorite pages, but I wasn't expecting to do too well as the competition is intended for "funny" comics. I did get a couple new hits though, so in the grand scheme of things, I sort of did win.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE.

New comic went up yesterday. May be my favorite page so far.

After using a couple Green Triangle soldiers as decoys, McFly sneaks into the Robot Kingdom. This is where he'll find the item, which we now know is some kind of super weapon.

The giant shuriken on McFly's back in the second panel was a bitch to draw.

Ninjas and Hurricanes

Muse's new album Black Holes and Revelations is pretty sweet. It didn't immediately hook me like Absolution did. It's a slower, more gradual addiction. Now I ache for it.

Absolution had more than a few songs that reminded me of certain videogame soundtracks, but I chalked that up to wishful thinking (wow! the guys from Muse like videogame music, just like me!!!) . Listen to Assassin on the new album and just try and tell me that opening riff isn't a Ninja Gaiden boss fight. I mean, the songs's title is Assassin! Ya feel me, dawg?

New comic. A day late but NOT a dollar short.

Apologies

Comic will be a little late this week. Expect it sometime tomorrow afternoon.

In other news, Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig was pretty sweet last night. Lots o' action in the first 15 minutes.
