The fact that he’s just a “normal guy” makes it all the more bad-ass when he stands toe to toe with battle robots and fox ninjas and the like. Sure, you expect the cocky blue skinned energy blasting kinda guy to be able to… but the middle aged man with a wife and two kids? Playing off the contrast can make it cool.

He seems a bit too normal to command people like the Saucony brothers.
True but he was in command of the Blue Circle police operation at the Money Bin where we first met McFly and the Saucony brothers was he not?
Where can I see badass muthas from the beginning?
@Chem- I believe he was a negotiator at that point in the comic.
@Burden- Go to the comic page, and just above the comic will be the letter “A.” Click it, and you will be taken to the first comic.
No, actually he was in command. He was the one giving the okay for whatshisname’s sniper to take the shot. The negotiator was the round guy.

I’m very interested to see his powers, mostly for the reasons stated above. 😀
I have a feeling that the first time this guy fights somebody, it’ll be similar to if Al Bundy ever fought Goku. … And won.
